Makeup in Review :
Queen Latifah is not only an actress and music mogul but she is also a spokesperson for Covergirl cosmetics. Now, with her own line "The Queen Collection", Queen Latifah is representing by bringing out great shades and tones for all women of color. It is often hard for women of color to find the right foundation to match their skin tone, so we wanted to this foundation that pertained to darker complexions.
Queen Collection-Powder Foundation

Price: $8.69
Good: It runs for a great price and can be found at any Walmart or Walgreens stores. It's a powdery/creamy substance but your finishing look will not look dry. Also with a powdery substance, it doesn't make a mess or get on your clothes or worse someone else's fresh white collar shirt! There are over 9 shades of foundation to choose from! Its very light and airy, doesn't look too heavy. You are sure to find the right shade for your skin tone. It runs for a great price and can be found at any Walmart, Target or Walgreens drug store near you. Fabulous!
Bad: Doesn't control oil in your "T" zone very well. Stores often run out of Queen collection products, so you might have to resort to buying online.
Bottom Line: It's a great product, great positive campaign and it helps women of color eliminate the battle with bad foundation.
It's all about the Mac

Price: $26.50
Jersey Girls Leslie and Nicole
Wearing Mac
Good: Mac just makes everyone look their best. You definitely pay for what you get- a fabulous face! Mac's mineralize and satin finish foundation has vitamins A,C, and E. With this foundation also comes Spf 15 to protect the skin from sun damage. Mac Mineralize and satin finish foundation last for a very long time!
Bad: Too pricey and not enough product. If I am paying almost $27 for a foundation, I would like to get a little more liquid. Mac foundation can also be a tad messy. If you live in the Hampton Roads area, the only location to buy mac is in the Norfolk, Va Beach area. It's found in many Macy and Nordstroms stores.
Bottom Line: It pays to look fabulous! You want to look good and you're not scared to spend money, Mac is it!
Oprah loves it-Do we love Clarin?

Good: The Queen of talk Oprah Winfrey says its her favorite and we went looking for it! Clarin foundation looks very smooth on the skin, applies easily and its oil free. Oil free makeup is less likely to clog your pores. Love it!
Bad: PRICEY!!!!!!!!!! Clarin's line of products is geared more towards an older generation (age defying products, etc...). This isn't bad but the campaign doesn't draw you in if you're in your early 20's per say.
Bottom Line: The Queen of talk gives it a yes...were not so sure about that
EYESHADOW ANYONE?
Sheri dishes about: Mac and Shiseido
Sheri dishes about: Mac and Shiseido
Shiseido-----HYDRO POWDER EYESHADOW
I have this color and I have yellow undertones. Looks great with black liquid eyeliner on top lid with a lighter brighter color in the crease or alone. The texture is very soft and even customers with oily skin can wear all day without re-applying often. This product has relatively high pigment and is easily removed with alcohol free toner (I recommend Neutrogena's because it doesn't conflict with other cleansers) You can buy online or visit their counter at MACY'S. The representatives at the counter can schedule a time with you and do your makeup! Also Shiseido has a skincare line, Frangrance and a Line for MEN.
The Company was founded by Arinobu Fukuhara after the Meiji Restoration. Fukuhara was a pharmacist to the Japanese Navy and decided to open the sheiseido pharmacy to improve the quality of pharmaceuticals supplied to public. Today it is one of the most well respected cosmetic lines.
Bad: Isn't as thick as I thought it would be and if you use your fingers to apply your shadows it may get on the black liner and you may have to re-apply the black liner. I would not recommend a pencil liner on the lid.
Good: This color looks good on dark and fair skin tones. I am fair with a yellow undertone and this color is a winner for me. And goes great with a variety of other brand's colors. Including MAC.

M.A.C.
I love MAC! I went to Duke Ellington School of the Fine arts in Washington DC and there was a MAC store down the street from the school in Georgetown. A friend of mine owned Cranberry and Electric Eeel. I went and purchased the same colors and I have been buying MAC eyeshadow for six years now. My Favorite color is GOLDMINE.
Price: $14

Price: $14
GOOD:Lasts all day even with oily skin. All the shadows have High pigment and last a really long time. Also when you finish five containers you can take the five empty containers to a MAC counter and get a free lipstick or you can take the five to a MAC store and get a free shadow or your choice.
BAD:Electric Eeel won't easily wash off. I learned that after I try to remove this makeup my skin still had a greenish blue tint to it. It's even worse when you've worn it all day (12+) hours and then go somewhere and want to change your eyeshadow color. But overall the product is great. MACY'S also has counters for this company, you can go to http://www.maccosmetics.com/ to view all their products. Colors I recommend GOLDMINE, MYTHOLOGY, STARS'N'ROCKETS, AND TRAXX.

Also try- the tinted shea butter lip conditioner. I bought the conditioner three years ago and I have not since bought any other type of lipstick, chapstick or gloss.

Sheri and Dominique's Review on: GREAT LASH MASCARA

Price: $4.79
Sheri: I have been using great lash for years! It's formula lasts a long time. It doesn't dry easily, and it washes off with relative ease. The formula doesn't allow clumping like other formulas. I have tried Cover Girl, Rimmel, Fabulash, and MAC's mascara and MAYBELLINE has definitely NAILED it!
Dominique: What can you say bad about great lash! My mom even uses it. It last long, it's cheap and affordable! It's thick with no clumps and has a built in curve on the brush. It's also hypoallergenic! Since when have you been able to use the same makeup products as your momma!
