Downtown Hampton is cooking it up!

Let's debate. Who has better seafood? Virginia or Maryland. Who has better soul food? Virginia or ummm...a state further in the deep south. Virginia is not in the deep south for those of you who do not know that (hint:Whoopi Goldberg). O.k. back to the debate.

I don't know if you noticed but Southeastern Virginia is surrounded by water that carries some of the best seafood on the east coast. And being that Virginia has southern characteristics shows that VA packs some soul, too. So, "what a diva knows for sure" today is: you decide for yourself if Hampton,VA knows how to throw down in the kitchen.

Downtown Hampton wants you to come out October the 5th through the 12th and try great dishes from 10 different restaurants. You can try a little bit of soul food at Mary Helens Southern and Creole cuisine or Queens Way Soul Cafe'. Maybe your in the mood for fish and crabcakes at the Old Hampton Seafood Kitchen. Hey, no matter what, you have 7 other great restaurants to choose from, too.
